Linux Distributions
Really, anything except Ubuntu. That garbage is the devil. It is the Windows of Linux. It will spy on you. It will force updates on you. It will run slow as hell. It isn't cool. It isn't fun. It uses trash coreutils written in Rust (which is also trash). I'd literally rather just use Windows.
- Mint - Really good for those who are new to Linux. So easy your grandma could use it.
- Debian - The GOAT for headless servers.
- Devuan - systemd-less Debian.
Web Browsers
Every browser sucks, but these are okay, I guess.
- Brave Origin - Free for Linux, costs money for Losedows and MacOS plebs.
- Helium - Ungoogled Chromium but lighter. The only the it comes with is an adblocker, which is really the only feature you need from a web browser.
Media Players
If it doesn't use ffmpeg, it's trash.
Text Editor
I don't know what NeoVim is, and I don't care. Fight me.
GUI FTP Clients
- WinSCP - For Windows only. Linux users should use the CLI.
